Introducing Exfil- the 1998 Beneteau Oceanis 461 sailing sloop – Exfil. Impeccably maintained with a like-new exterior and interior, this vessel is designed to make its new owner proud both at the dock and on the open seas. The Beneteau Oceanis 461 is a true sailor's dream, dedicated to the art of sailing!
This particular model is the coveted "Owner's Version," featuring 2 cabins and 2 heads, offering the largest common area available for relaxation and enjoyment.
Setting sail with a new full batten mainsail (not a roller main) and a fresh 155% furled headsail, this sloop promises superior tacks compared to a roller mainsail, ensuring a smooth and exhilarating sailing experience. Get ready to glide through the waters with precision and style aboard the Beneteau Oceanis 461.!
Once there, your lifestyle existence will be enhanced with the water maker. (Water maker not used in 3 years) The 900 AMP hour house lead acid battery bank, with the Xantrex 3500 Watt inverter, allows controlled and managed use of the microwave, TV, and if needed, the central heat pump, for only a brief period of less than one hour max, unless on shore power, where the two air conditioners can make for a very comfortable night.
At anchor, the VBerth owners cabin, with two benches for ease of dressing, and getting in/out of bed, has the largest open air hatch forward, just behind the anchor locker, so the evening breeze races through, when anchored. The master will know immediately of weather changes, and be able to close all hatches immediately, if needed. There is another opening skylight above and in the private head.
The main salon features two large skylights for ultimate ventilation at anchor, and medium sized opening side ports
The large aft cabin is room for 2, and has private access to the bathroom, including shower, sink and toilet.
Discover the thoughtful design of the galley on the 1998 Beneteau Oceanis 461 sailing sloop. Positioned aft and to starboard of the companionway hatch, this strategic layout ensures that food and drinks are easily accessible for both the cockpit area and the salon. Whether you're enjoying a meal al fresco or hosting guests in the spacious salon, the galley's location enhances the overall feeling of spaciousness and convenience on board. Experience the seamless blend of functionality and comfort as you entertain and unwind in style on the Beneteau Oceanis 461.
If you really want more than the 2 cabins full of people, then realize the port side couch is 5'9" long, and wide enough for one, once the back cushions are removed.
The salon 6 person mahogany table includes a leaf, to increase it's size to 8, and may never have been used! That same table drops to a sleeping area rivaling all but a King size bed.
The VBerth and aft cabin berths are also near Queen size, with the VBerth being longer, at near 7' long overall, so the taller boat master may be better accommodations, and allowed to fully use the 6'4" headroom in the salon area.
The rich mahogany wood walls and flooring, with teak trim woods, has a warm and safe feeling, while offering handholds virtually everywhere, making moving about, while underway, much easier. The companionway ladder has double handrails, but is also lined with faux wood, so sliding up/down is possible, without wood damages. Even Beneteau stairs are curved, for intended use underway.
The 120 volt electrical wiring is at 60 HZ, and properly aligned to the typical power found in a home in the US, so all of your appliances, computers, medical equipment, can be used safely. The GFCI outlets are in both cabins, heads at the Chart table, TV, and galley, with another hidden in the cabinet next to the furnished microwave, and in both heads. By turning off those GFCI outlets, you can conserve power at each location. Standby appliance power is a waste of energy, when not at dockside.
The galley has three opening ports to starboard, and one skylight above, to help relieve the heat from cooking, but also for keeping entertained when cooking on the propane, 3 burner cooktop with oven for baking or broiling, lighted with a lighter, for immediate heat, and of course gimballed, sits next to the double basin stainless steel sink. To the right, or aft is the microwave, and 12 volt top opening freezer, and under counter refrigerator, meaning your foods (and ice) left for longer periods, will survive most dockside power outages! To the left is the deep countertop pantry.
Hot and cold water are available in both heads, the galley, and the aft shower, often used to rinse the salt water away, showering outside, or simply to cool down on a hot summer day, when needed. Heated by the main engine, or with 120 volt, the hot water is available everywhere on board.
Storage abounds inside, with a space under the VBerth, aft berth, center bench, but also under all seating, and behind most back cushions! Then there are the two hanging lockers, and stacked lockers, one each in the Aft cabin, one hanging, 2 stacked in the VBerth. Cabinets are all around also, and ventilated to avoid moisture issues. Under the TV is a stackable cabinet also.
The blue velour type cushions are moisture proofed, from the factory, and firm. Plenty of ventilation and fans placed appropriately, makes comfort at anchor, or at the dock.
The very wide salon makes entertaining a pleasure! White curtains and white ceiling ads to theore spacious larger feel.
The mahogany port side chart table includes the Furuno chartplotter and radar, with AIS B type transceiver ALWAYS reporting your location to other boats for safety, and so family might follow you online. The VHF radio and stereo are here also. With the autopilot on, you can plot your course, watch for storms or boat traffic, or other radar reflections here, and return to the helm to follow those plans.
