General Accommodation and Life at SeaTIPASA is cleverly designed with companionways and access doors between the interior and the decks. A sheltered side deck to starboard allows the crew to move freely from the helm to the cockpit for docking manoeuvres without entering the saloon. Up to nine passengers and crew can live together for long periods of time.
But rather than space, spaces are even more important. On a Nordhavn 55, each and every crew member will find privacy. With a smart flow between the saloon, the staterooms, the wheelhouse and the decks, the crew will never have the feeling that the boat is crowded. All of the popular factory options have been selected and several major improvements have eased the daily life and operations.

Special Layout on TIPASA
Whilst many of the most popular options were selected during construction, these special layout options were chosen for safety and comfort:
Boat Deck Arrangement - Rather than using the boats upper deck as a storage space, this area was converted into a dining settee for six persons with folding teak armchairs. This gives a valuable social space on board. This area is protected by a strong stainless steel frame with canvas cover to provide shade whilst also allowing for a 1000W solar panel array to be mounted above.
Partition Bulkhead - In the saloon, a partition bulkhead was created and installed in order to separate the saloon from the galley. On the saloon side, the partition features bookshelves, creating a cozy yacht library, whilst on the galley side of the partition this valuable space is used to hang kitchenware and allows for a more usable layout for the galley. This arrangement with a separate galley has proven to be very convenient when at sea, especially when a stewardess or chef may be part of the crew.
This partition may be removed at nominal cost by a local carpenter if required. Concept designs and quotations are available.
